They Might Be Giants performing “Birdhouse in Your Soul” on The Tonight Show in 1990.

I remember seeing this live when it aired and thinking:

  1. The song was played in triple-time
  2. The horn section (including Doc) was on crack
  3. It was the best thing I had ever seen on The Tonight Show
